Family of the Month - August - Fr. Wayne Genereux
As a Council we needed additional members and life brought back into a weary group, and Father Wayne helped to fill this need. The Core group of officers had been holding things together for years, but they needed new birth and Father Wayne was the perfect weapon to help deliver that new birth. As a 4th degree brother, Father Wayne recognizes it takes a United group of Brothers in Charity to help build up the Body of Christ; so he aided us by putting out a cry for help to the men in our parish. As a result we added twenty five new members to our Council family. Those new members have immediately made a major impact to our TEAM.
His words are always thoughtful, encouraging and spirit filled and they always help convert the hearts of his Brother Knights and the St. Mary parishioners. His sacrifices to put God and his neighbor ahead of himself is evident in is conduct.
His Homily messages are always inspiring, and all of us are able to tell that he puts a lot of prayful time into them. We appreciate his dedication towards our spiritual wellness and growth. We would all agree that he accomplished this through the Knights' sponsored retreat he organized. The Year of the Mass topic was outstanding and gave us all new meaning to the Mass.
The reminder message that we must invite Christ into our lives, and once we do He becomes the HOST, is important to hear. With Christ dwelling within he gives us the strength to shine like the sun.

Father Wayne as our Chaplain has been a great Sheppard and the most supportive Advocate to our Council Family. His nomination for Family of the Month is most fitting because of his dedication to the Knights of Columbus, and St Mary Church.
