 St. Mary's of the Grove Council 11138 was founded June 24th 1993 at St Mary parish in North Tampa.
Council 11138 has earned Star Council recognition by Knights of Columbus for outstanding achievements in programming, membership recruitment and retention and promotion of the Order’s insurance program: 1994 to 1995, 1996 to 1997, 1998 to 1999, 2002 to 2003, 2004 to 2005, 2006 to 2007, Double Star 2007 to 2008
Council 11138, First Degree Team, won State Council competition 1999 and was recognized and awarded 1st place by Florida State Council at State Council Convention for it’s outstanding performance. Council was awarded at 2008 FSC Convention, State Deputy plaque Baghdad Round Table sponsorship; Supreme Council Activities Award, FSC Council Award, FSC Community Award.
Council 11138 was awarded Family of Year 1998 to 1999 trophy, as was John & Licia Sessums, EdD who were recognized and celebrated by Florida State Council at annual State Convention.
Council 11138 members Past Grand Knight’s have been recognized and chosen in past and current years by Florida State Council’s State Deputy to serve in the office of District Deputy: James G. Cerny, Richard A. Hohman and Walter C. Atzert.
